In this post tips and review of Porto - Bayern Munchen.
PSG - BARCELONA
PSG hasn't lost a home match for 33 appearances( November 2006, 4-2 against Hapoel in Uefa Cup).
Barcelona has lost 4 of the last 8 away Champions League matches, winning 2 matches: not a great trend but Barça has the best away attack with 10 goals scored (Bayern too).
In the group stage, PSG - Barcelona ended 3-2.
PSG and its latest results
PSG has won the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, beating Bastia 4-0.
Next 30th May another final is awaiting PSG: Coupe de France against Auxerre.
First in Ligue 1, 1 point above Lyon.
In short a very good season played till now by Blanc's squad.
French team has a lot of absences tonight, some really important:
Ibra and Verratti are banned, Aurier and David Luiz are injured, Motta is not on shape and should sit on the bench.
What kind of match is going to be?
Although all these absences in the line ups, PSG still has a lot of skilled players able to score to Barcelona as seen in the last 2 matches against these teams, both ended "GOAL" and this is expected again tonight.
Barcelona tends to play with a very high baricenter and when they lose the ball possession, PSG could hit counterattacking and taking advantage of its forwarders pace (Lavezzi, Lucas, Pastore and Cavani are all very fast players).
Huge absences in our opinion are the ones of Verratti and Motta, who are extremely skilled to make vertical passes.
What about Barcelona?
There is not a lot to say: Barcelona is living one of the best period of shape of the last 2 years.
Since 8 January, Barcelona has won 20 matches in 22 played.
Messi is in a state of grace 45 goals in 39 matches.
Suarez is scoring a lot lately, while Neymar seems to be a bit less on shape and alternates good performances to impalpable ones.
PARIS SG: Sirigu; Maxwell, Marquinhos, Silva, Wiel;
Matuidi, Rabiot, Cabaye; Pastore, Cavani, Lavezzi.
BARCELONA: ter Stegen; Alba, Mascherano (o Mathieu), Piqué, Adriano; Iniesta, Busquets, Rakitic; Neymar, Suarez, Messi.
