Lot of people see this match as an "early final" and they are not wrong since these are surely the best teams in Europe, even if some absences in Bayern lineup make this game a bit "incomplete".

Bayern absences

Barça has the big advantage to face Bayern, considered the best team here in Europe, which is without some important players.

Robben, Badstuber, Alaba, Lewandowski and Ribery are all unavailable.

Ribery will be probably usable for the second leg, while Lewandowski has some little chances to figure in the starting line ups and in that case he will wear a protective mask, the one he showed on Twitter some days ago.

Bayern latest performances

Bayern hasn't impressed in this 2015. Yes sure, they have already easily won the Bundesliga, since lots of teams are much weaker than Guardiola's squad, but Bayern has often had hard times against the best ones.

The main reason of this hassle has surely been the absences of Alaba, Robben and Ribery, basically the players able to change rhythm to Bayern manouver.

Without their pace, the offensive phase has become much more predictable by the opponents.

Indeed Bayern has often crushed weak teams like Hamburger (8-0), Paderborn (6-0), Koln (4-1) and Werder Bremen (4-0), but has never won against the first 5 teams in Bundesliga in the 2015.

Bayern has been defeated by Wolfsburg (4-1), obtained a draw against Schalke (1-1) and has lost a home match against Borussia Monchengladbach (0-2) and in the last round another defeat occurred against Bayer Leverkusen.

Another important loss has been registered against Borussia Dortmund in the semifinal of DFB Pokal.

Considering also that Bayern has often struggled in Champions League away matches too (0-0 against Shakhtar and 3-1 loss in Oporto), we think they are not going to be brilliant in Camp Nou neither.

What about Barcelona?

Barcelona has been playing a marvellous football since the beginning of the year.

Messi, Suarez and Neymar play like they have been together for years and years. The harmony is perfect and they have scored already 108 goals.

Messi has always scored a lot, while Suarez showed the world to be also an assist man (18 till now) as well as a striker (24 goals).

Barcelona's fast counterattacks are simply perfect and counterattacks could be really dangerous for Bayern gamestyle.

What kind of match do we expect?

Barcelona is surely much more flexible than Bayern, slave to its tiki taka.

Moreover, Barcelona has already showed on several occasions to be perfect in the defensive phase too: scoring a goal against their organized defense has become much more difficult than on past, and the best way to hit Luis Enrique's team is with fast counterattacks, a thing that the actual Bayern can't do with ease considering again the absences of Alaba, Robben and Ribery.

In our opinion Barça will have the best in this first leg, but the qualification will be still open since Bayern in its stadium is a steamroller.
