Sevilla - Fiorentina, Europa League semifinal. In this post tips and match review.
SEVILLA - FIORENTINA
Surely this is the most balanced semifinal, since the result of Napoli - Dnipro seems to be quite expected.
Sevilla, before last Saturday, was the only unbeaten team of the spanish Liga and won all the last 8 home european matches.
Spanish team is really on a great shape and has a team composed of very skilled players. The midfielders Krychowiak, Iborra and Mbia always assure good performaces, covering the spaces and helping the defense which rarely concedes lots of occasions to the opponents.
The wingers Reyes, Aleix Vidal and Vitolo are very fast and give a lot of contribution to the offensive manouvers and the forwarder Carlos Bacca is a top player, even if sometimes a bit discontinue (the alternative is Gameiro who is often underrated but he is a great forwarder too).
Fiorentina has appeared very inconstant in its results lately but in the previous round of Europa League against Dynamo Kyiv has convinced both in the first and second leg.
The lineup has no defections: the central backs will be Gonzalo Rodriguez and Josè Basanta who both assure a great defensive solidity, in the midfield will find space the old but always important David Pizarro while the forwarders will be Mario Gomez and Mohammed Salah, a very dangeours pair of forwarders, since Salah is very fast and extremely skilled, while Mario Gomez has the goal in his blood.
What kind of match do we expect?
Sevilla will adopt a very tested 4-2-3-1 which has given great results till now. Sevilla's secret is having good midfielders able both to defend and to set up offensive actions.
Fiorentina usually makes a lot of ball possession and its actions are much more slow and reasoned.
The main problem for the italian team will be facing the fast and incisive counterattacks of Sevilla because Fiorentina has often showed lacks in managing this kind of situation.
In our opinion the key of the match will be in the midfield: if Fiorentina lose lots of balls they'll have an hard time tomorrow.
In any case we suggest to give faith to a home win for this match because Sevilla has always showed great performances in its stadium, while Fiorentina often struggles in their away appearances.
In our opinion, getting out the Sanchez Pizjuan with a win is really hard for the italian team.
