In this post tips and detailed review of the second leg in Munchen between Bayern and Barcelona, after the 3-0 in Spain.
BAYERN MUNCHEN - BARCELONA
No one has ever overturned a 3-0 loss in a semifinal of Champions League.
Bayern has already showed they can make wonderful performances in its stadium, scoring loads of goals (7-1 against Roma, 3-0 CSKA, 7-0 Shakhtar and recently against Porto 6-1).
The problem for the actual Bayern is that probably they are not going to win against this Barcelona even with a gap of 1 goal.
The lacks seen in the first leg, should emerge again tomorrow and probably much more than seen in Camp Nou, since Bayern is forced to adopt an offensive gamestyle since the beginning of the match, offering empty spaces to be attacked by Messi, Suarez and Neymar, extremely incisive with their fast counterattacks.
Still out Alaba, Ribery and Robben and without their pace it is going to be hard for Bayern to change rhythm to their usual ball possession with the result that the offensive manouvers are going to be very predictable.
Bayern has never won against the best 6 teams in Bundesliga in this 2015: 4 losses (4-1 in Wolfsburg, 2-0 in Leverkusen, 2-0 in Monchengladbach and 0-1 in the last round vs Augsburg) and a draw
collected against Schalke 04.
Considering also a clear drop of Bayern physical condition, we really see few chances for them to reach the final.
The 2 goals scored by Messi in Barcelona are really great pieces of skill but let's consider them as the final conclusions of 2 perfect offensive manouvers.
Barcelona has showed again its new characteristics: in short less ball possession and very high pressing.
Rakitic played a wonderful match, and people who consider him as the new "architect" of Barça midifield are right.
The croatian international covered a big portion of the pitch as showed in the following image ( green arrows are the completed passes, while in red the missed ones, the blue arrow is the assist for the second goal.
As said above, Bayern is forced to play very offensive tomorrow.
The thing is: if Bayern loses lots of balls in the midfield as showed in the first leg, they will lose again, and bye bye Champions League, anyway, in our opinion Barcelona is already in the final especially if they find a goal...and they will.
