POKER: UNBELIEVABLE: MERCIER WINS HIS 3RD SCOOP EVENT IN A WEEK

You have to be kidding us. Less than a week after winning two SCOOP events in two days, Jason Mercier was back at it, winning $2,100 No Limit Hold'em Four-Max event for $178,000.

It was his third SCOOP win of 2015.

The Four-Max event lasted two days and was composed of almost 400 entrants. Mercier faced with some of the best players around at the final table, including Calvin Anderson, who recently won a record-setting sixth SCOOP title, and Ryan Franklin, who earned $4 million in career online tournament scores.

Mercier was second in chips when the final table began and was seeking his sixth COOP title. He busted Anderson in third place to take a 3:2 chip lead into heads-up play against Franklin.

Franklin and Mercier agreed on sharing the money and, two hands later, Mercier won his third SCOOP title in 8 days. This victory in Event 20-H also gives Mercier six total COOP titles, the same amount of Dan Kelly and George Danzer. He is just one behind Shaun Deeb and Anderson who have seven overall COOP wins.

Here's the tournament's table:

1. Jason Mercier (Canada): $178,457
2. Ryan Franklin (Canada): $152,789
3. Calvin Anderson (Mexico): $68,408
4. TransSib (Russia): $42,315

Mercier has already won $1.8 million in career online scores along with another $13.8 million in live scores.
