Chile reached the semifinal after beating 1-0 Uruguay in a match characterized by the red card occurred to Cavani after that Jara provocated him.

Chile defender Gonzalo Jara was thrown out of the Copa America (3 rounds suspension) over his attempt to shove his finger into the backside of Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani.

Chile has the best attack of the competition with 11 goals scored in 4 matches (3 wins and a draw).

Vidal is the topscorer with 3 goals and Sanchez and Edu Vargas showed to be among the best players of this Cup.

Peru is a well organized team and showed it can score with ease especially with fast counterattacks, a kind of manouver perfect for its dynamics players such as Guerrero, Farfan and Cueva.

Another good offensive player is the right lateral back, Luis Advincula, very dangerous while attacking but not that good while defending.

In our opinion Peru has played well in the previous matches because the opponenst were weak (especially Venezuela and Bolivia), but it struggles a bit when it comes to create good offensive manouvers against well disposed defenses.

Peru's strenght is in its fast counterattacks and high pressing since the beginning of the match and it is normal that peruan players are in lack of energies in the end of the match (as happened with Bolivia).

There is a huge rivalry between these nations due to the Pacific War (1879-1883) when Bolivia and Peru competed against Chile for saltpetre deposits in the region of Antofagasta. Chile won the fight and that region was annexed among its territories. Is it going to be another nervous match?

Maybe, but we prefer BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE that seems to be an intersting choice with very good odds (2.30) and we also like CHILE TO WIN HANDICAP TIE (0:1) because we expect to see a well balanced match but in the end Chile should have the best since all the stadium will support the "Roja" and generally speaking the technique rate is higher among chilean players.
