In this post betting tips and previews of the first gameweek of the english Premier League:
Manchester United-Tottenham, Bournemouth-Aston Villa, Everton-Watford and Chelsea-Swansea.
MANCHESTER UNITED - TOTTENHAM
Van Gaal has made another little revolution.
In the previous season United was able to get the qualification for the Champions League collecting a lot of points in its home matches but the game expressed has rarely been convincing and the defense hasn't showed a good solidity.
Manchester United have bought a lot of good players but we can't understand why they haven't signed a good central back.
New players are: Darmian, Scheniderlin and mainly Schweinsteiger and Depay.
4-2-3-1 will be standard and the great vision of Schweinsteiger will probably give a lot of benefits to red devil's manouvers.
Tottenham hasn't changed a lot. The line ups is the same of the last season exception made for the arrival of Alderweireld.
Spurs could suffer on the wings: Rose and Walker have to stop not only Young and Mata but also Shaw and Darmian. Usually Chadli and Lamela are lazy while defending and could give spaces to United lateral backs.
Tottenham has enough skills in the forward to score a goal vs a mediocre defense, but the choice to place 2 midfielders towards the defense such as Bentaleb and Dier could split the line ups in two parts and that's the main reason of our choice: HOME WIN.
MANCHESTER UNITED: De Gea, Darmian, Blind, Smalling, Shaw, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Young, Depay, Mata, Rooney.
TOTTENHAM: Lloris, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Walker, Bentaleb, Dier, Chadli, Lamela, Eriksen, Kane.
BOURNEMOUTH - ASTON VILLA
Aston Villa avoided the relegation narrowly in the last season thanks to the coach Sherwood who took place of Paul Lambert.
Villagers have lost Delph in the midfield and the striker Benteke and these are two heavy lacks.
The club has signed some good players such as Jordan Ayew and Amavi above all but the coach needs time to find the right balance.
Bournemouth does not have a strong team and is sentenced to fight a lot to avoid relegation but usually the clubs coming from the Championship start really good the new season while struggle in the final part of the league (like Burnley in the previous season).
The enthuasiasm to be in Premier League combined to the fact that Aston Villa lost 9 of the last 11 away games, let use choose BOURNEMOUTH DOUBLE CHANCE.
BOURNEMOUTH: Boruc, Mings, Cook, Elphick, Francis, Pugh, Surman, Gosling, Ritchie, Wilson, Gradel.
ASTON VILLA: Guzan, Amavi, Clark, Richards, Hutton, Gueye, Westwood, Bacuna, Sinclair, Kozák, Ayew.
HOME WIN (2.00, Sporting Bet)
BOURNEMOUTH DOUBLE CHANCE (1.26, Sporting Bet)
UNDER 2.5 (1.73, Sporting Bet)
EVERTON - WATFORD
The big amount of injuries and the Europa League penalized a lot Everton in the last season.
The team is the same since the only new players are Deulofeu and Cleverley who both have been trained by coach Martinez some years ago.
The big problem for the Toffies is that too many players are injured or not in the best conditions, but the starting lineups for the first gameweek should be enough competitive and mainly tested.
Watford instead has changed the coach during the summer and several players also. New players are Britos, Berghuis, Jurado, Nyom, Behrami, Battocchio, Prodl, Layun, Holebas and Capoue. Most of them are good players but the problem for the coach is give a new identity to the team in very short time.
EVERTON: Howard, Baines, Jagielka, Stones, Coleman, Barry, McCarthy, Barkley, Cleverley, Naismith, Lukaku.
WATFORD: Gomes, Anya, Prödl, Cathcart, Nyom, Behrami, Jurado, Capoue, Layún, Ighalo, Deeney.
HOME WIN (1.72, Betfair)
CHELSEA - SWANSEA
Chelsea didn't show good performances in the last friendlies and has also lost the Community Shield vs Arsenal.
Is there the risk of a false start vs Swansea which has kept Sigurdsson and Gomis and has two more good players such as Tabanou and Ayew? Probably no.
When it comes to play official matches Chelsea is always convincing and Mourinho has always won the first league match of the season in his career.
Chelsea has been unbeaten in home matches for the last 20 matches and in the previous season Swansea conceded 9 goals in the two matches vs Chelsea.
CHELSEA: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, Matic, Fàbregas, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Remy.
SWANSEA: Fabianski, Tabanou, Williams, Fernández, Naughton, Cork, Sung-yueng, Ayew, Sigurdsson, Dyer, Gomis.
HOME WIN (1.36, 10Bet)
