Previews, statistics and betting tips for the 2nd legs of Europa League Qualifiers scheduled on 4 August.
In the 3rd round 2 French and 1 English team have begun their experience in the current EUL. These clubs (Lille, St. Etienne and West Ham) did not win their respective 1st leg matches although they are supposed to be better than the other teams of the Qualifiers.
The biggest surprise occurred in Slovenia where West Ham was defeated 2-1 by Domzale. Domzale deserved the win and they also had several occasion to score the third goal but Hammers' goalkeeper, Adrian, made some incredible saves.
After one more week of trainings and with the edge to play in their new stadium, West Ham have a concrete chance to perform a come back.
Olympic Stadium will hold West Ham's matches starting from the current season and there will be a full stadium to push the Hammers.
Payet is still unavailable as well as Cresswell and Lanzini, while Collins and Ogbonna are back but will start from the bench.
Domzale are not that skilled team and will probably suffer the pressure to play an international match in such a big and full stadium.
Lille only obtained a 1-1 draw in the home match vs Qabala, in a match totally controlled by Lille where Qabala scored in a dead ball occasion after 10'.
Although the 11 corner kicks, 20 shoot attempts and 64% ball possession, Lille was unable to score the second goal.
Qabala are not a team with qualities as showed in the previous EUL campaigns and we choose the visitors.
The other french team involved in EUL Qualifiers is St. Etienne that also got a draw from the 1st leg meeting.
The one vs AEK Athens was a really boring match with few emotions.
AEK got stronger after the arrivals of Chygrynskiy, Hugo Almeida, Rodriguez, Diaz and Bakasetas and we would not be surprised to see them prevail here.
French side will probably have hard times in Greece where local teams are famous to fight for tooth and nails when playing in their stadiums and AEK Athens are not an exception: 15 wins in the last 17 home matches, drawing 1 and losing 1...not bad!
Lets pay attention of a possible goal scored by St. Etienne. In that case AEK would be forced to score 2 goals because any draw would smile to St. Etienne and goals could be expected.
Rapid Wien and Spartak Moscow, both stopped with a draw in their away games on last week with Zodzina and AEK Larnaca, should win without particular issues in their own stadiums.
Austria Wien is on a good shape: 5 wins out of the 6 official matches played. The only defeat occurred exactly in the 1st leg at home vs Spartak Trnava. The 0-1 loss will not be easy to recover but is not impossible since Austria Wien played better than Spartak one week ago, shooting at least 10 times vs the only lucky one that gave visitors the win.
Austrian side should adopt an offensive mentality in order to score and getting away Trnava with the ticket for the final round.
