Finally also German Bundesliga 2016/2017 starts on Saturday. In this post previews and betting tips for the Gameweek 1.

Augsburg are about to start their 6th Bundesliga in a row on Saturday in the home match vs Wolfsburg when will be the debut of the new coach Dirk Schuster who has taken the place of Markus Weinzierl.
Augsburg have kept the same team of the previous season, expection made for the transfers of the defenders Klavan and Jeong-Ho Hong and the wing Werner.
The club has also signed the Icelandic striker Finnbogason, on loan at Augsburg in the previous season.
Wolfsburg made a weird season on last year: they achieved their best place ever in Champions League (Quarterfinals) but the performances in Bundesliga were a real failure, especially when playing on the road.
The current transfermarket has made a sort of revolution with the arrivals of Bouma, Gerhardt, Mario Gomez, Didavi, Borja Mayoral and Kuba Blaszczykowski and the transfers of Dante, Naldo, Max Kruse and Schurrle.
Our sensation is that Wolsfburg got stronger than last year but players need time to find the right harmony.
Home side have some defensive issues but usually adopt an offensive 4-2-3-1 and we choose BTTS here.

Borussia Dortmund have undergone an animated transfermarket: they have lost Hummels, Gundogan and Mkhitaryan but  but a lot of arrivals made the squad probably stronger than past season's one.
Coach Tuchel can now count on Marc Bartra, Ousmane Dembele, Sebastian Rode, Raphael Guerreiro, Andre Schurrle and Mario Gotze.
The arrivals of Gotze, Schurrle and Dembele make Borussia's 4-2-3-1 much more offensive and dangerous. Alternatives among the attackers are a lot but the problem is the hole left by Hummels in the defence, but at least Bartra has good technical skills and will be very useful in starting the manouver from his feet.
Our sensation is that Dortmund will have no particular issues in having the best vs modest German team, including Mainz, although they come from a great past season. Mainz's squad have changed a lot in the summer and presumably they need time to find the right balance.

Peter Stoger, Koln's coach, is sure that his current Koln is the best of the last years.
The squad is competitive and indeed they ended the past season with the 4th best defence and in a league like Bundes having a good defensive phase could be decisive.
The team is basically the same of the latest season and the trend also: in the last 3 friendlies (Bologna, Eibar and Mainz) they kept a clean sheet and the same occurred in DFB Pokal (German Cup) vs Preussen (7-0).
Darmstadt obtained an unhoped safety in the past Bundesliga thanks mainly to their positive away matches trend.
It will be hard for them to repeat another brilliant season as everything has changed from the coach (Meier in place of Schuster) to the players (the goalie Mathenia, the defenders Caldirola and Rajkovic, the midfielder Rausch and mainly the striker Wagner left the club).
Maybe Darmstadt will make a decent season, who knows... but at moment we choose a much more tested Koln.

Borussia Monchengladbach won 6-1 over Young Boys on last Wednesday, gaining a place in the next Champions League.
The access to the next stage was already secured in the 1st leg in Bern ended 1-3, but the great performance clearly showed Borussia are on shape and will probably start the Bundesliga in a good way and, in any case, surely better than last season's start.
Bayer Leverkusen have already obtained the access to the Champions League thanks to the 3rd place in the previous Bundesliga. The squad has some new skilled name such as the defender Dragovic, the midfielder Baumgartlinger and mainly Kevin Volland.
We choose home team because of their great home tendency of the past season, their great shape shown in the last month and the absence of Chicharito Hernandez among the opponents.
