The EPL Gameweek 3 starts on Saturday at midday with a big match: Tottenham-Liverpool. In the following post previews and betting tips for this and the other clashes scheduled on Saturday 27th
Tottenham-Liverpool, the clash between two very offensive teams. Spurs have collected 4 points after the first two EPL Gameweeks (draw with Everton and win over Crystal Palace).
Liverpool have showed to be very discontinous till now: after the amazing 3-4 win vs Arsenal in the 1st gameweek, a 2-0 defeat vs Burnley occurred.
Both sides have top level attacking players: Pochettino decided to place Alli in the midfield giving space to Janseen as striker, with Harry Kane behind him and Lamela and Eriksen on the wings...wow!
Reds should start with 3 false forwarders (Countinho, Manè and Firmino) with Sturridge and Origi ready to play in the second half.
It will probably be a nice show where goals should not be missing. Tottenham can not count on the injured Lloris while Liverpool's defense is making mistakes over mistakes.
We set Spurs a bit favourite not only beacuse they play at White Hart Lane but also because they can rely on a better defensive organization than the opponents.
Chelsea won the first 2 EPL matches with the same score 2-1. Coach Conte has not fixed some defensive lacks yet as the team has never ended a match keeping a clean sheet.
The good news come from the offensive players: Diego Costa scored in both EPL matches while Batshuayi has always made good jobs when on the pitch.
Meanwhile three points vs Burnley should occur without particular worries. The opponents, who defeated Liverpool in the latest EPL round, do not seem to be able to worry The Blues in their stadium.
Burnley was sent out from EFL Cup by Accrington (League Two) some days ago.
Burnley have not changed that much compared to the previous season squad: the new arrival Defour has brought some skills in the midfield and also the forwarders duo Vokes-Gary is not bad, but Chelsea are too hungry after the failing past season and need the 3 points.
Leicester are still looking for a win after the first 2 EPL Weeks.
Coach Ranieri specified that another title would be impossible to win but that does not mean Foxes will not fight and give everything match after match.
Actually, skills are not missing, the scheme is perfect for the Premier League and the coach has a good experience.
The problem for "Claudio" is that Swansea is coached by another italian, Francesco Guidolin, who also is very experienced from a tactical point of view.
Swansea will probably adopt a very defensive gamestyle, trying to serve Llorente with long passes mainly.
Swansea's problems are in the defense where the central backs Amat and Fernandez do not assure safety after Ashley Williams tranfer to Everton.
Leicester, instead, have been able to keep a clean sheet vs Arsenal and should do so also in the clash vs Swansea (beaten with a total of 7-0 in the previous season).
Arsenal is a very discontinous team, but it is strange to see them without a win after 2 weeks.
The schedule was not clement as the first two opponents were Liverpool and Leicester plus they have several injured players (Mertesacker, Gabriel, Jenkinson, Wellbeck Iwobi and Ramsey) but also Wenger have some faults as the only new arrival has been Xhaka till now.
We have positive sensations about The Gunners in the away match at Watford vs a team that have not recognized Mazzarri's teaching yet: some players still need time to understand 3-5-2 movements, a scheme not that used in England and the losses occurred vs Chelsea and mainly in League Cup vs Gillingham, confirm the current Watford lacks.
For those who do not trust Arsenal, BTTS is a good choice, considering Arsenal's tottering defense and the good attackers duo Ighalo-Deeney Watford can count on. (In our opinion Ighalo-Deeney is one of the most well assorted duo of the whole EPL).
Hull City surprisingly are at the top of the English Premier League after the first two gameweeks along with Manchester United that will be faced on Saturday at
5:30 pm (UK Time).
Hull started the season with too many mysteries and actually they still got them.
Hull City have indeed got serious issues between the club and the supporters and have been without coach since the end of July.
Former coach Steve Bruce gave resignations after the club refused to sign new players (He asked for 6 players...0 arrived!).
Mike Phelan is currently the new coach of a squad composed by only 15 players (3 of them are goalkeepers).
On last Tuesday Phelan was forced to line up Elmohamady, Livermore, Roberston, Snodgrass, Huddlestone, Meyler and Diomande vs Exeter (League Cup).
The lack of substitutes after 3 matches played in 7 days could be decisive in the clash vs Red Devils who have not played in League Cup yet and however can count on the arrivals of Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Ibra.
Oh...Manchester United have spent over 185€ mln in the current transfermarket...Guess Hull City? 0, actually they earned 5€ mln from Newcastle by transferring Mohamed Diamè.
