Italian Serie A Gameweek 5. Betting tips and previews of Wednesday 21 September matches.

Yesterday we were so close to win our Integral System but Lazio made an unexpected awful performance vs Milan.
We love midweek national leagues rounds mainly because the most of the matches are scheduled at the same time, 8 to be more accurate, with Bologna-Sampdoria that starts at 17:30 GMT.

Let's take a look at each of them, trying to give accurate tips,as usual, on the top Italian league.

Bologna and Sampdoria both lost in the previous round although their performances were good.
Bologna lost against Napoli (3-1 in Naples) but showed good offensive manouvers and can now count again on the striker Mattia Destro back after his little injury.
Sampdoria undeservedly lost to Milan: Samp dominated the first half and did hit the spot with Muriel who also saw his goal unfairly annulled by the referee in the second half before conceding the winner scored by Carlos Bacca.
What we noticed about Sampdoria is a weak defensive organization with two very offensive lateral backs and a good offensive phase with a very inspired Luis Muriel.
Bologna, instead, are much more solid from a tactical point of view and have won both matches played in Dall'Ara Stadium till now.
We see the hosts a bit favourite in a match where both teams to score is a valid option, maybe to be alternated to the double chance.

Atalanta conceded 3 goals to Cagliari on Sunday and confirmed the current weakness of the defense.
It was expected after the arrival of Gasperini on the bench in place of Reja as Gasperini adopts a totally different idea of football compared to Reja: "Gasp" loves to be offensive, sometimes too much but, in any case, the 10 goals conceded after 4 rounds are too many.
Luckily Atalanta meet Palermo, a very disorganized team, filled of youngsters and, in our opinion, the first candidate to the relegation in Serie B along with Crotone.

Rosanero, with the arrival of a new coach, De Zerbi, need time to find a decent harmony and the squad is much weaker compared to their opponent.
We expect Atalanta to score at least twice and honestly we can not see how visitors could emulate the hosts: HOME WIN.

Chievo and Sassuolo have made a great beginning of the season and they face in a great shape, both physical and psychological.
Chievo have already obtained 7 points and in their stadium have won and draw the first two matches and the opponents were Inter and Lazio (not two weak low end of the table teams).
The hosts have a good home tendency as they have been unbeaten for 10 matches in a row.
It is going to be a very tough away game for Sassuolo, just back from their European task vs Athletic Bilbao (what a marvellous 3-0 win for the italians) and will probably suffer in their fourth match in eleven days and still without their best player Domenico Berardi.
From a tactial point of view, we expect a very closed match between two teams with very solid defenses that leave few empty spaces to be attacked: it is not just a case that previous 6 meetings never saw a team score more than a goal and all ended UNDER 2.5.
Very balanced match, hard fought in the midfield with few shoot attempts.

Inter surprisingly won the big match vs Juventus on Sunday, but it does not mean they have solved all their problems seen in the last month. Indeed in sight of the away game in Empoli, Banega is banned and will be probably replaced by Kondogbia. The other change in the lineup will be Perisic in place of Eder.
Inter have surely got a boost in morale after beating the strongest team in Italy and will probably make a good performance vs Empoli, a team much different than the one seen in the latest 2 Italian Leagues: the defense does not convince and the team has only found the goal through dead ball occasions.
An Inter stat is very particular: Inter have always ended the first halves on the 0-0 while second halves have seen at least two goals (that occurred in the previous 5 official matches).
We choose the Nerazzurri.

An extremely important match for Napoli in Marassi Stadium of Genova.
Azzurri find themselves at the top of the table with 10 points after 4 gameweeks.
With Higuain's money, transferred to Juventus, Napoli had the chance to increase the number of players in the squad.
Indeed a lot of new players arrived, especially in the midfield and now coach Sarri can save key energies to his players with ease.
Napoli have great skills in every position and are favourite against Genoa, although is a very tough match.
Genoa are very hard to beat in their stadium but generally speaking Napoli have a better tactical organization and an Arek Milik on fire at moment and ready to score again.
We have a preference for the visitors.

Juventus are looking for revenge after the beating occurred in Milan vs Inter.
Bianconeri will be with Higuain in the starting lineup but some other key players could rest.
In any case Juventus can count on two top level teams in their squad, at least in Italy, and considering they also play at home we only see the home win:
Juve have won their latest 18 home matches keeping the clean sheet in 13 of them.
Cagliari have already conceded 5 goals in their 2 away matches. Visitors are a good team with good skills especially in the offensive players but in our opinion Cagliari will feel the Juventus Stadium impact.

Not a lot to say about Roma-Crotone. Hosts are clearly favourite. Roma play a very offensive football and are too much skilled for the visitors. We expect a convincing home win as Roma tend to score a lot when playing in Olimpico Stadium.

Pescara-Torino could be a nice open match with goals scored by both teams. Pescara have a clear offensive attitude and they do not give up their ball possession even when facing strong teams (as seen vs Napoli). At the same time Pescara are the team that have conceded more shoot attempts till now and a partial of 7 goals conceded in 4 matches.
Torino also have adopted an offensive gamestyle: they always keep an high baricnter and indeed they have scored 8 goals and conceded 6 in 4 games.

Fiorentina played a wise match vs Roma from a tactical perspective, showing a good defensive solidity.
What we noticed is their weak offensive organization: Ilicic has been mediocre and Kalinic, after the goal scored to Juventus, has been not that incisive and participating.
Udinese have adopted a defensive mentality with coach Iachini but the 6 goals conceded till now are not a good stat. Moreover, Udinese are the team that completes less passes while attacking: only 641, less than any other team in the league. It is a clear evidence that harmony is not that great among the offensive players yet. In our opinion Fiorentina will find at least a goal and could get out Udine with 3 points.
