Premier League Round 18 Match Previews

English Premier League Betting Tips, Match Previews and Accumulator Bets

Boxing Day 2016 occurs on Monday with eight matches scheduled but the 18th EPL Match Week goes on the day after with Liverpool-Stoke City and ends on Wednesday with Southampton-Tottenham.

In this post you will find previews, betting tips and accumulator for the eight matches scheduled on St. Stephen's Day.

Watford, coached by Mazzarri, have done good so far, but the latest 2 months have not been that positive indeed latest 7 matches saw the Hornets lose 5 times.
Crystal Palace are undergoing a bad period too: 8 are the losses in their latest 10 matches and currently occupy the fourth to last position in the league table.
We expect a very tough game where both sides will keep a defensive approach but we see Watford a bit favourite because of their decent home trend (4-1-3).

Our main prediction is WATFORD DOUBLE CHANCE.

Arsenal finally signed a skilled defender when Shkrodan Mustafi arrived from Valencia in the past transfermarket.
The thing is Mustafi is currently injured and his absence has been evident in the latest 2 appearances where Gunners lost against Everton and Manchester City.
Some lacks emerged from Gunners' latest matches: the offensive phase is still efficient but the defensive one has showed clear lacks.

West Bromwich turned in a disappointing performance in a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday and Tony Pulis will be demanding a response on Boxing Day. They will, however, have to sort out their mixed away form, which has only yielded two wins all season.

In our opinion BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE is a good choice here.

Chelsea are still leading the Premier league with their eleven wins in a row collected in the latest 3 months.
Decisive has been the change of scheme: from 4-2-3-1 at the beginning of the season to the current 3-4-3.
Conte has found the right balance and indeed goals conceded in the latest 11 EPL clashes are only two.
David Luiz, Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill are offering great performances and the big efforts of Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso on the sides add more solidity to the defense.
Home side can not count on the goals of the suspended Diego Costa in the home match vs Bournemouth and that could result in a game poor of goals with Chelsea favourite to reach their 12th win in a row.

Matthew Lowton is Burnley's right lateral back but he is suspended in sight of the next clash at Turf Moor where Burnley meet Middlesbrough.
Lowton's absence will be heavy if Stewart Downing is ready to serve crosses for Alvaro Negredo in good form as proved by two goals scored to Swansea City in the previous round.
Tough match in terms of betting but we have picked 2 choices: DRAW, yeah aggressive but stats say that both teams have only drawn once in their latest 10 EPL matches, while the safest choice is BURNLEY DOUBLE CHANCE.

Few days ago Leicester confirmed their clear issues when playing on the road, although they were able to recover the 2 goals disadvantage.
Foxes are clearly much more unfocused when defending compared to the past season and in the next clash against Everton, Ranieri can not rely on three suspended players (Fuchs and Huth in the defense and Vardy).
Things are different at King Power Stadium where leicester have obtained 4 wins, 3 draws and only a defeat so far.
We have a preference for the home side considering also that Everton are down with morale after the defeat in the derby against Liverpool occurred 4 minutes after the 90'.

Manchester United have found continuity in their results lately.
Red Devils have indeed collected 10 useful results in a row and mainly have won their latest 4 clashes (1 in Europa League and 3 In Premier League).
It seems that Mourinho has finally found the right tactical layout with the contemporary presence of Ander Herrera and Carrick that allow Pogba to play a bit more offensive and with a bit more of freedom.
Sunderland are fighting to avoid relegation but have not done well away so far with 6 losses in their 8 games on the road and have failed to score in each of their last two away from home, shipping seven in the process.

They have only scored in one of their latest six away league matches.

West Ham took advantage of their double home EPL round beating both Burnley and Hull City.
Hammers' main problems come from their away matches where they are struggling a lot: only 5 are the points obtained far from home and the imminent clash does not appear to be easy as Swansea have recently beaten Crystal Palace and Sunderland.

They have also shipped three goals in each of their last two matches but a return to home soil could provide some solace for Bob Bradley's side.

The Welsh outfit will hope to take advantage of the long trip West Ham will have to make for this game on Boxing Day.
We choose SWANSEA DOUBLE CHANCE.
