Premier League Week 21 Preview

Betting tips, previews and accumulator of Premier League matches scheduled on Saturday 31st December.

Premier League is back after one week break due to EFL Cup and hits its 21st match week.

We analyzed all Saturday matches, giving also betting tips and two accumulators.

Tottenham, beating Chelsea 2-0 in the previous round, have now won five EPL matches in a row and will try to put pressure on the Blues in Saturday's early clash against West Bromwich.
An hypothetical win would reduce (temporarily) the gap to four points but Spurs have been struggling against West Bromwich in recent years.
Indeed Spurs have won only one of their last five games vs the Baggies at White Hart Lane but at the same time, Tottenham have the second best team with more points obtained at home while West Brom have only won one of their last 4 away matches in the league and in general have only scored 9 goals when playing on the road.
We expect Tottenham to win after a tough match poor of goals: Home win has very low odds and then we choose HOME WIN + UNDER 4.5 GOALS.

Watford have lost 4 of their last 5 Premier League matches and drawing once (1-1 vs Crystal Palace).
The Hornets have probably gained some confidence after the 2-0 win over Burton in EFL Cup but the next clash against Middlesbrough is expected to be tough as also visitors have been struggling lately with 4 losses in their last 6 matches and both teams are risking to be involved in the relegation fight if they do not improve their performances as soon as possible.
Watford have 22 points while Boro occupy the 16th position in the table 3 points behind Hornets.
In our opinion this is not going to be an entertaining game since involves two of the lowest scoring teams in the league and Mazzarri will probably adopt a more defensive 3-5-2 since Pereira and Amrabat are unavailable.

Moreover, Middlesbrough have collected 12 UNDER 2.5 in their 20 EPL matches played so far.

West Ham-Crystal Palace
Both sides are undergoing a bad period: home side have lost 3 matches in a row (Manchester City, Manchester United and Leciester) while Crystal Palace have been unable to win a league match since 24th September when they obtained 3 points at Sunderland.
In this partial without wins (14 matches) club decided to change manager  two days before Christmas but Sam Allardyce is still without a win.
Confidence is low among Bilic's men and Payet just stated he wishes to leave the club.
Palace will be without Benteke (injured) and Zaha (playing the AFCON) and these absences are really heavy.
A red card was shown in each of the four last meetings between the sides and RED CARD YES is our main choice here considering the importance of the match between two teams in a bad shape.

Sunderland have nine unavailable players in sight of the Saturday clash against Stoke City: 3 players joined AFCON (Konè, Ndong and Khazri) while 6 more are still injured.
Black cats are only 1 point above relegation but can count on a good home trend in their last 5 EPL matches (3 wins, 1 draw and a 0-1 loss against a super motivated Chelsea).
Stoke also have 3 unavailable african players (Diouf, Sobhi and Bony) and are undergoing a bad period with 4 losses in their last 6 league matches and their last 3 matches on the road all ended with a defeat although opponents were top teams (Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal).
Tough game: Sunderland need vital points while Stoke are 11 points bove relegation and can face Black Cats without any particular pressure.
We have a preference for SUNDERLAND DOUBLE CHANCE + UNDER 3.5 GOALS.

Burnley occupy the 12th position in the table with a 8 points gap from the relegation zone.
This is mainly due to the good home trend Clarets have had so far (7 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses).
There are good chances to get a positive result also in the next game at Turf Moor when they meet Southampton, often mediocre when playing away having collected only 2 wins so far and have lost last 3 EPL games.
Surely the 1-0 win over Liverpool in EFL Cup on Wednesday has boosted their confidence but at the same time they spent a lot both in physical and psychic energies.
Both teams have a clear defensive attitude and empty spaces to be attacked will be really a few.
We expect a very balanced game with few goals where Burnley is favourite.
BURNLEY DOUBLE CHANCE + UNDER 3.5 GOALS represents our main choice and has really good odds.

Swansea changed manager for the third time in the season.
The current one is Paul Clement, former Ancelotti's assistant at Bayern.
Clement has already gained some experience in English football when he joined Derby County in the season 2015/2016 and sacked after 33 matches and a 5h place in the Championship.

The mainl problem is that Swans have the worst defense of the Premier League with 45 goals conceded so far and the continous changes on the bench have not helped the squad at all and finding the right balance against Arsenal will be very complicated as Gunners are on a great shape and are the team with most goals scored on the road in the league.
OVER 2.5 GOALS very likely here with Arsenal favourite for the win.

Leicester have been unbeaten in the last 3 official matches.
It is the second time this happens in the season but it will be hard to extend this positive trend as Foxes meet Chelsea on Saturday.
Ranieri can not count on 3 players (Amartey, Slimani and Mahrez) who are playing the AFCON in Africa with their national teams.
Moreover, Chelsea are looking to find the win immediately after the loss occurred vs Tottenham in the previous round.
Leicester are hard to beat in King Power Stadium but our sensation is that Chelsea will take advantage of opponents absences.
