Premier League Week 23 Preview

Betting tips, previews and accumulators on Premier League matches scheduled on Tuesday 31nd January and Wednesday 1st February.

Arsenal won 0-5 over Southampton in St. Mary's on last Saturday although there were a lot of reserves in the pitch such as Maitland-Niles, Reine-Adelaide, Holding and Lucas Perez.
Southampton's lineup also had a lot of youngsters and the final score confirms Gunners' good period of form (5 wins and 1 draw from their last 6 official matches, and 19 goals scired in the partial).
Watford, instead, are doing bad: eliminated by Millwall from FA Cup and 1 win in their last 9 matches.
Mazzarri can not count on several unavailable players: Behrami, Pereyra and Amrabat are injured while Holebas is suspended.
Luckily club just signed three new players (Cleverley, Niang and Zarate) but only the first should be in the starting XI while Ighalo is ready to join Chinese Super League.
In our opinion Niang and Zarate have good skills and surely raise Hornets'offensive potential but probably not in Emirates Stadium since Watford have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches on the road.
We expect an easy win for the home side.

Another team on a good shape is Tottenham: Spurs have obtained 8 wins from their last 9 matches and have drawn the other game 2-2 in Etihad Stadium vs Manchester City.
Tottenham have been the only team able to beat Chelsea in the last 3 months.
These news sound really bad for Sunderland that have lost 4 of their last 5 and seem sentenced to relegation, indeed Patrick van Aanholt has just signed for Crystal Palace.
For the moment coach Moyes can count on two new arrivals: Bryan Oviedo e Darron Gibson both from Everton but our sensation is Sunderland need some more arrival if they want to fight till the end of the season.
Another thing to consider is the big list of unavailable players among Black Cats: Mc Nair, Cattermole, Watmore, Kirchhoff, Pickford and Anichebe are injured while Papy Djilobodji is suspended.
With all these premises we only see an AWAY WIN here.

Chelsea-Liverpool won by Reds 1-2 followed by 3-0 vs Arsenal have represented Chelsea's seasonal turning point.
Blues have then made great things winning 15 matches out of 16, losing only at White Hart Lane vs Tottenham.
Conte decided to change scheme after these defeats, switching to a 3 men defence and placing Marcos Alonso on the left side and Moses on the right one.
Defence has become extremely solid since then and has only conceded 4 goals in 16 matches.
Conte has been really smart to understand David Luiz was dangerous as central back of a 4 men defence because of his extreme tendence to anticipate the opponent.
With 2 more central backs (Azpilicueta and Cahill) and 2 strong midfielders like Kantè and Matic, defence is very organized and hard to pass through.
Liverpool were Chelsea's main rival for the title till the end of 2016 but results obtained by Klopp's men have been mediocre in the beginning of the new year.
Reds are now 10 points below the top of the table and, if they really want the title, they have to beat Chelsea at Anfield Road.
But it is not going to be easy since Liverpool are not scoring as they used to do in 2016 and mainly have won only 1 of their last 7 matches (FA Cup replay match vs Plymouth) scoring only 5 goals in this partial.
In few days Liverpool have been kicked out from League Cup Semifinals against Southampton and by Wolverhampton Wanderers from FA Cup,
Bad results coincide with Sadio Mane's departure for Africa but luckily Senegal was eliminated by Cameroon few days ago (where Manè missed a penalty kick) and then he is available again, but in our opinion Klopp will keep him out from the Starting XI since Sadio only came back on Monday and could be useful in the second half, especially if things take a turn for the worst.

Bournemouth are getting closer to avoid relegation for the second season in a row.
The current 12th position in the league table and 10 points above relegation zone look quite reassuring.
Crystal Palace, instead, have to fight to stay in Premier League and the change of manager decided over 1 month ago hasn't brought any positive result (1 win in 8 matches).
Lot of players will not join the rest of the team in the trip to Bournemouth (Speroni, Campbell, Mandanda, Souarè, Wickham and Jonathan Benteke).
At least Howe gets Simon Francis back after a 3 rounds suspension and also Max Gradel who just came back from Gabon where his national club was eliminated from the African Cup of Nations.
We expect Bournemouth to win.

Burnley usually make great performances when playing in Turf Moor where Clarets have obtained 25 of the 26 point they currently have in Premier League.
Their Stadium is over 130 years old and Tom Heaton & co. take advantage of the hot atmosphere and almost anytime get a positive result (4 home wins in a row at moment).
Leicester are not in their best period and they always struggle a lot when playing away (no wins away from King Power Stadium this season in Premier League).
The offensive phase is affected by Vardy's lack of goals and Slimani is just back from the African Cup of Nation with a groin injury.
BURNLEY DOUBLE CHANCE is our choice and has really good odds.

Few days ago Middlesbrough won 1-0 over Accrington in FA Cup: Boro confirmed again their matches are not pleasant to watch because of the few occasions they create but at the same time defence is quite solid.
Gaston Ramirez is still injured and the Uruguayan could give some inspiration to the offensive manouver.
Karanka can be happy to have Daniel Ayala and Antonio Barragan back and both will add some more solidity to Boro's defence.
West Bromwich are 8th in the league table and have done really great things so far.
Visitors have showed to be very compact and well organized in the pitch, especially when playing away where they have obtained 7 UNDER 2.5 in 11 matches.
Not a lot of goals expected here: UNDER 2.5.

Few weeks ago Swansea signed Luciano Narsingh, skilled offensive winger: after being stopped by a calf injury, the former PSV Eindhoven player is ready to make a debut with The Swans in sight of the clash against Southampton.
Saints have several defensive issues: Josè Fonte was transferred to West Ham, while Virgil Van Dijk has got an ankle injury.
Some more player like Ward-Prowse, Rodriguez, Austin, Pied, Targett and McCarthy are not 100% fit.
Home side can get three points here.
We also like OVER 1.5 GOALS HOME TEAM that has very high odds (around 2.70) on most betting sites.
