Previews, betting tips and 6 fold on Italian Serie A Gameweek 8 fixtures scheduled between 14 and 15 October 2017.
Who knows what to expect from the next round of Serie A after the one week break due to the last matches of Russia 2018 Qualifiers, but honestly speaking we like the fixtures on the schedule and the most have really high odds.
Let's start with the opening match, Juventus-Lazio, on Saturday 6 pm local time.
It is going to be a very pleasant match to watch: both sides have done very good so far and if that is not a news about Juventus, we can say that Lazio have confirmed all the great things done in the past season and we would not be surprised to see them giving hard times to Juventus for some parts of the match and a goal scored is on the cards but our sensation is home side will get three points here as Dybala is on a great form and also Higuain has started to score again.
Juventus double chance + over 1.5 goals is the safest choice here but also the home win, maybe combined with over 2.5 goals, sounds very good.
Super big match on Saturday evening (8:45 pm Italian time) at Olimpico Stadium: Roma-Napoli.
Lots of goals expected here: both sides have an offensive approach and usually when they meet emotions are not missing.
We set Napoli favourite: coach Sarri has given the team a wonderful gamestyle that is close to perfection and have also reduced the numbers of goals conceded compared to the previous season.
Maybe one between Mertens and Insigne will rest for part of the match because of the imminent clash in Manchester against City on next week, but still we prefer Napoli here: Roma have changed coach and Roma have struggled against strong teams so far.
The safest choice here is Napoli double chance + over 1.5 goals, but we also suggest an away win with great odds.
Both teams to score is another reasonable prediction.
Sunday matches start with Fiorentina-Udinese on midday still local time.
Both sides have shown a clear tendency to score and concede with ease, especially Udinese.
The most likely prediction here is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals, but if you are looking for a winner here we'd suggest Fiorentina (choose btts and avoid it or if you want to bet on something similar choose Fiorentina double chance + over 1.5 goals).
Bologna-Spal is tough, very tough because the sides come from the same region and would be a sort of derby, a very unusual derby since SPAL last joined Serie A over 45 years ago.
Away side have done not bad so far but mainly on their pitch: we expect to see them suffering against Bologna that have collected 7 points from their last 3 matches (drawing 1-1 vs Inter in Bologna).
The point is 1.80 odds for the home win are too low for a match that could reveal to be a trap. We choose Bologna double chance + under 3.5 goals and nothing more. There are so many matches in the whole Europe, there is no need to force tips on difficult ones.
Here is another tough fixture: Cagliari-Genoa which is tough because home side are on a bad form having collected 3 losses in a row, while Genoa only have 2 points after 7 gameweeks on the table and have never started the top Italian league so bad in their long history.
On the cards we set Cagliari favourite, a side that usually give their best on their home soil as showed in the last years and seems that Pavoletti is fit enough to play after the short injury he suffered weeks ago.
Cagliari double chance should be more than a safe choice and its odds are decent.
Home win for the braves.
There is curiosity around Torino after Belotti suffered a knee injury that will keep the italian striker out until the middle of November. The away match against Crotone is not that easy.
Home side need to make the most from their home matches and will give everything to get a positive result after the 4 points obtained in the last 2.
Torino have a skilled squad and even without Belotti can still count on very good forwarders such as Ljajic, Iago Falque and Niang, who will probably be in the position usually occupied by Belotti.
We expect an hard fought match here, with a very aggressive Crotone in the midfield and with Torino trying to keep the ball and find the few spaces Crotone will leave.
In the end Torino should have the best: away win.
In Sampdoria-Atalanta we chose both teams to score: bthey have shown this trend and also the characteristics of the two sides let us imagine a nice match. Atalanta will be paying in Europe on next Thursday against Apollon Limassol but coach Gasperini is not going to save energies to its key players and has shown his wise ability in rotating all the players in order to save energies but always keeping a very competitive team.
Atalanta have an impressive gamestyle but it will not be easy to get away Luigi Ferraris Stadium with a win as Sampdoria are very organized and tough team to face: although the 4-0 defeat in Udine in the previous round, they obtained a convincing 2-0 win against Milan one gameweek earlier.
A draw is on the cards here but we still prefer both teams to score as main tip.
Sassuolo-Chievo is kinda a tricky match.
Defeat to Lazio was on the cards for Sassuolo, but losing 6-1 after being 1-0 up after 44 minutes was clearly a disappointment.
Chievo, on the other hand, came back to win their match against Fiorentina in the last round and made it four games without defeat.
Considering that Sassuolo haven't showed great things so far, while Chievo look on a very good physical form and have approached in the right way any match played till now we set the away side as favourite.
Our favourite choice here is Chievo double chance and also a nice draw deserves attention.
Another big match on Sunday evening: the derby of Milan: Inter-Milan.
We start by saying that we choose home win here.
Inter have played not that good so far but, at the moment, they are 2 points below the top of the table and comparing this squad with previous season's one, we clearly notice a good defensive solidity.
Milan's management has publicly stated on a number of occasions that their target is Champions League qualification, but that objective seems to be getting more and more distant for the Rossoneri. They need a victory here in order to get back in the race for a top 4 finish.
The two clubs moved in opposite directions over the summer -- Inter have kept most of the old squad and hired Luciano Spalletti in order to improve its management, while Milan kept Vincenzo Montella, but have given him a new set of players. Continuity in the project has clearly helped the Nerazzurri so far and they come into this game as favourites.
We like home win here, whose odds are very interesting (2.15), but also Inter double chance + over 1.5 goals.
